This hands‑on training course introduces design and construction professionals to Enscape, the real‑time rendering tool used across the architecture, engineering, and construction industry. Through guided demonstrations and practical exercises, participants learn how to create high‑quality visualisations, animations, and immersive presentations directly from their BIM and 3D design models.

Module 1: Introduction to Enscape

  • What Enscape is and how it integrates with Revit, SketchUp, Rhino, and Archicad

  • Understanding real‑time rendering vs. traditional rendering

  • Installation, interface overview, and system requirements

  • Launching Enscape from a design model

 

Module 2: Navigation & Core Tools

  • Exploring the Enscape viewport

  • Moving through the model and adjusting view settings

  • Time‑of‑day controls and camera positions

  • Creating and managing Enscape views

 

Module 3: Materials & Textures

  • Using the Enscape Material Editor

  • Enhancing realism with bump, normal, and displacement maps

  • Editing transparency, reflectivity, and emissive materials

  • Best practices for interior and exterior materials

 

Module 4: Lighting & Environment Settings

  • Working with natural and artificial lighting

  • Adjusting sun position, exposure, and contrast

  • Atmosphere and environment presets

  • Achieving realistic lighting conditions for day and night scenes

 

Module 5: Asset Library & Scene Development

  • Adding vegetation, people, furniture, and entourage

  • Using custom assets and proxy objects

  • Managing asset placement for performance and realism

  • Tips for effective scene composition

 

Module 6: Rendering Still Images

  • Setting up views for high‑quality outputs

  • Render settings: resolution, style options, visual presets

  • Batch rendering multiple views

  • Exporting final images for reports and client presentations

 

Module 7: Animations, Videos & Walkthroughs

  • Creating animated camera paths

  • Setting duration, transitions, and keyframes

  • Exporting video walkthroughs

  • Best practices for storytelling through movement

 

Module 8: Panoramas, VR & Immersive Experiences

  • Exporting 360° panoramas and panorama galleries

  • Preparing models for virtual reality

  • Facilitating client walkthroughs in VR

  • Hardware and workflow considerations

 

Module 9: Optimisation & Troubleshooting

  • Performance optimisation for smooth rendering

  • Managing heavy models and linked files

  • Troubleshooting lighting, material, or geometry issues

  • Workflow tips for integrating Enscape into daily design practice

 

Module 10: Capstone Mini‑Project

  • Participants produce a final deliverable:

    • high‑quality rendering set or

    • animated walkthrough or

    • VR‑ready model

  • Instructor feedback and peer review

  • Preparing outputs for client‑facing presentations
